Un'estesissima linea temporalesca sta attraversando il cuore degli USA e si estende per circa 1000km dal Minnesota verso sud passando per Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma e Arkansas e si muove da ovest verso est. In questo spazio si concentrano fenomeni di forte instabilità accompagnati da locali grandinate con chicchi grandi anche come palle da golf, ma soprattutto sono stati osservati almeno otto tornado nelle ultime ore.

Nel suo spostamento da ovest ad est il fronte ha innescato lunedì quattro tornado in Oklahoma, gli altri tra Kansas e Nebraska, due nel Tennessee ma legati ad una precedente linea temporalesca. In Oklahoma sono stati segnalati danni e feriti nelle comunità di Barnsdall e Bartlesville, dove nemmeno un mese fa un altro tornado aveva toccato terra provocato altri danni. Nello stesso stato, nella Contea di Craig, un altro tornado ha scoperchiato la palestra della Welch School. Un altro tornado è stato avvistato nella Contea di Garfield, con inondazioni improvvise e i soccorritori che hanno salvato una persona travolta dalle acque. In Tennessee sono stati avvistati due tornado, uno nella Contea di Wilson e l'altro nella Contea di DeKalb, anche se in questa circostanza, fortunatamente non si hanno notizie di danni significativi.
