Extreme temperature rise this weekend in Europe: temperatures reaching 30-32°C in Spain and 25-27°C in central Europe
A high pressure system across the western and central Mediterranean Sea will be reinforced during the weekend reaching even southern Scandinavia and the Baltic states, bringing a summer feeling to much of Europe with temperatures 12-14°C above normal.
30-32°C in Spain: The severe temperature rise will bring one more time temperatures above normal in Spain with maximum temperatures reaching 30-32°C or locally more during the weekend in Murcia, Saragozza and in general in the plains.
27-29°C in France, Italy, the Balkans and central Europe: In the plains of southern France maximum temperatures could reach 27-29°C during Saturday with Paris reaching 25-26°C. In southern Italy and especially in the plains of Sardinia and Sicily temperatures will reach 27-29°C, while Germany and the Low Countries could reach 24-26°C or more locally. For example maximum temperatures will reach 23°C in Berlin, 27°C in Prague, 27-29°C in the plains of the Balkans.
15-17°C in southern Scandinavia and the Baltic states - a nearly 10°C rise: A great temperature rise is also predicted in the northern Europe on Sunday with maximum temperatures reaching 14°C in Stockholm, 16°C in Riga, 13°C in Copenhagen; temperatures that have a nearly 10°C difference from the maximum temperatures of Saturday.
A temperature fall, though, is predicted from the west during the new week with temperatures falling even 10°C!
