After a strong storm, named Babet which caused flash floods and destruction across Iberia, France and the UK, a new Atlantic storm, named Aline, is already heading towards Portugal, Spain, France and the UK bringing severe weather across much of western and central Europe. Aline is shifting southeastwards to northern Iberia and France bringing severe showers, thunderstorms and showers locally intense in western Europe and especially in Iberia, France and the UK over the next few hours. The accumulation rain rates could reach locally 90-110mm (in 24hours) in Portugal and Spain especially in the western areas, causing flash flooding.

Aline will be accompanied by strong northwestern winds with gusts reaching 110-120 km/h and wave height of 7-9m and possibly causing coastal flooding across the northern coast of Spain and western coast of France. Furthermore, the strong wind gusts could even cause new destruction to the already affected areas of storm Babet.
